A native of Louisiana, Dr. Buhler was born and raised in Baton Rouge. After graduating summa cum laude from Louisiana State University, Dr. Buhler moved on to receive his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans.
Throughout his college and medical school training, Dr. Buhler served in many leadership positions, and he brings his leadership skills to Crescent City Orthopedics in Metairie, Louisiana. His patients are impressed with his decision-making abilities as he guides them to the best possible treatments for their injuries.
In addition to completing a residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he worked in one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation, he pursued a fellowship in sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and the Memorial Hermann Ironman Sports Medicine Institute. This position made him an assistant to the lead physician for several of Houston's professional and collegiate sports teams.
The list of awards Dr. Buhler earned during his medical training is quite impressive, including the class of 2007 "Ethics in Medicine" award from LSU and the UT Houston Department of Orthopedic Surgery's "Courage to Lead" award.
