Fasciotomy

Sometimes used to treat Dupuytren’s contracture, fasciotomy is performed to release tension and relieve pressure. The surgeon makes an incision in the fascia, a tissue that surrounds muscles to reduce any pain or numbness in the affected area. Fasciotomy can be performed either as an open surgery or minimally invasive procedure, depending on the specific condition.

Benefits

  • Improved blood flow and oxygenation to the affected area
  • Reduced pain, stiffness, and swelling in the affected area
  • Improved function and mobility
